Title: Six-day Online FDP with a Workshop on Identity, Home, and Belonging

Date: 3rd November to 8th November 2025

Objectives:

The FDP and Workshop intend to:

1. Bring together faculty, scholars, academicians, postgraduate students, and other professionals seeking to deliberate on the questions of one’s identity, home, and belonging.

2. Engage with the ways in which the questions of home and belonging shape and re-shape the question of identity in South Asia, especially with moments such as the Partition of 1947 and beyond.

3. Discuss the body of work on commemoration and memory of Partition and beyond that includes fiction, non-fiction, oral histories, museums, archives, and media.

4. Encourage participants to engage with the resource persons; and selected participants will be facilitated to present and brainstorm their papers at the concluding workshop.
