EDP Description: The EDP is designed to educate employees about the importance and value of GI tags in protecting regional products. This EDP aims to in-crease awareness of traditional knowledge, practices, and craftsman-ship tied to specific regions. The EDP will also focus on the role of GI products in rural empowerment and sustainable development. Additionally, the EDP will also discuss the impact of GI on economic growth and cultural heritage in developed and developing countries. The objectives of this EDP are to:

1. Understand what is Geographical Indication (GI) and benefits of registration of GI
2. Examine the interlink between GI, traditional knowledge, cultural identity, and heritage
3. Explore the role of GI tags in promoting sustainable development and rural economy
4. Analyze how GI influences economic growth and cultural heritage in Germany and other developed countries in Europe
5. Learn economic impact of GI on Indian artisans and farmers
