The Department of Chemistry, under the aegis of School of Advanced Sciences, VIT-AP University is organizing an international symposium - Current Trends in Advanced Materials (CTAM – 2024) in association with the American Chemical Society. This online congregation aims to bring together leading scientists, researchers, and industry experts from around the world to discuss the latest advancements and trends in materials science & chemistry.

1. Keynote Lectures

The Keynote Lecture at the CTAM-24 will focus on recent advancements in materials science and chemistry. Renowned scientists and industry personnel from across the globe will highlight their recent research on innovative materials in addressing global challenges. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the future directions of materials science and its interdisciplinary impact on chemistry.

2. Invited Lectures

Faculty members or industry personnel (national or international) upon registration at the CTAM-24 can avail the option to present their research work in the invited lecture section. After completing the registration, willing participants need to email at ctam@vitap.ac.in expressing interest to present their research in the invited lecture section along with the payment receipt. Although invited lectures are primarily reserved for faculty members or industry personnel, however, Ph.D. or Postdoctoral researchers can also present on the behalf of their advisors. Since slots are limited, it will be allotted on first come, first served basis. All participants will receive participation certificates.

3. Poster Presentations

Postdoctoral researcher, Ph.D. students and M.Sc./M.S. students upon registration at the CTAM-24 can avail the option to present their research work in the poster presentation section. After completing the registration, willing participants need to email at ctam@vitap.ac.in expressing interest to present their research in the poster presentation section along with the payment receipt. Since slots are limited, it will be allotted on first come, first served basis. Three best posters selected by the jury members will receive cash prize along with special certificates. All participants will receive participation certificates.

4. Technical Sessions

Technical sessions at the CTAM-24 will provide a platform for experts and researchers from industry to discuss advancements in materials synthesis, characterization techniques, and chemical applications. Attendees gain valuable insights and network with leading professionals, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

5. Book Chapter Publication

All registered participants can avail the option to publish book chapters at CTAM. The chapters will be published in the form of an edited book by SIAS Publication with ISBN number. Authors (national or international) need to submit their manuscript for evaluation at ctam@vitap.ac.in by 30th September, 2024. If selected for publication, authors need to pay the publication fees separately. Guidelines to prepare the manuscript for the book chapters are as follows – Topic – Material Science and Chemistry Word Limit – 3500-7000 (including references) Similarity – 15% or below
